Arrocerias Antonio Tomas, a family-owned company founded in 1962 by Antonio Tomás, still preserves the values of quality and direct interaction with farmers and customers instilled by its founders. The goal is to reconcile innovation, environmental respect, and market requirements with the tradition of crafting rice exclusively grown in Spain.

Located in Sollana, within the Albufera Natural Park, it is a great connoisseur and advocate of Valencian rice in its various varieties. Hence, its active participation as a member of the Regulatory Council of the Designation of Origin Valencia Rice.

Nos encontramos en Sollana, dentro del Parque Natural de la Albufera. Es una gran conocedora y defensora del arroz valenciano en sus diferentes variedades. De ahí se debe su participación como miembro activo del Consejo Regulador de la Denominación de Origen Arroz de Valencia

Además, en el año 2009 fuimos galardonados con el premio Accesit de la Consejería de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación a la mejor actividad de difusión de productos agroalimentarios.

Our History

Antonio Tomás comes from a family of farmers from Catarroja, who over the years set up a small mill where he whitened rice for his own consumption and that of other farmers, family, and friends. It was in 1962 when, together with his wife Maruja Primo, he created the Santo Tomas brand, transitioning from packaging unbranded rice, mostly in 50 kg sacks, to providing better presentation and more formats to reach a wider audience.

From its beginnings, they supported typically Valencian rice varieties such as Bomba, Bahia, Senia, etc. Similarly, they have been part of the Regulatory Council of the Designation of Origin Valencia Rice since its establishment until the present day.

In 2003, the second generation relocated the facilities to Sollana, acquiring new brands and expanding production capacity.

In their eagerness to showcase the excellence of Valencian rices, they participate in various international fairs such as Anuga in Germany, Sial in France, Fancy Food in the United States, Gulfood in Dubai, etc. Not to mention the domestic market with events like the Salon de Gourmet held in Madrid and Alimentaria in Barcelona.

Currently, the rice products crafted by Arrocerías Antonio Tomas, S.L. can be found in kitchens across all five continents. From the inception of their first brand, SANTO TOMAS, until today, the Valencian values of TRADITION AND QUALITY instilled by its founders have been upheld.
